Our story began in 2012 when...
Co-founders, Mafoya and Dallys who had been online friends met for the first time in New York. Having immigrated to the United States, they were both eager to contribute to the development of their home country, Benin and to the continent of Africa. Four years after their initial discussion, Solara LLC was born.
Through public private partnerships, Solara aims to deliver effective and sustainable energy solutions to all households in Africa, and to be an efficient, innovative and profitable organization. Nearly one billion people are currently in the dark in Africa. Solara’s vision is to be an important actor in the global push to provide people with reliable and affordable electricity by 2040.
